Large Metal Wall Art
The majority of us love the idea of a large wall artwork that, when incorporated properly into any room, gives us a sense of identity and allows us an opportunity to validate our uniqueness as people thru our choice of home decor. Sadly, not each one of us are handy when it comes to painting and free-handing a design on a blank canvas, more so, a huge wall. If you suspect this job is too daunting for you, think again! There's one methodology thru which you can transfer a small picture onto a wall without losing the depth and sharpness of the image.

If you've ever needed to incorporate a unique design element in your home that's enormous enough to cover a complete bare wall but is also inexpensive and easy to do, then lug out that projector that has been languishing in the closet and whip out your art supplies, it is time to paint that wall!
Plus, creating one is an excellent chance to share a productive activity with other members of the family and showcase your talents, talent [*COMMA] and skills. Where can you paint these murals? There are three favored rooms in the house that are thought to be ideal locations for this project. In this room, you can create a enormous wall dcor composed of cute and whimsical animals whose features precisely complement the designs and colours of the crib, the rocker, the changing table, and the dresser.
In the kitchen, you can integrate a large wall artwork in the shape of a tromp l'oeil background of a calming farm scene set against the steel and metal fixtures. This will give a dose of tranquility and peace to an otherwise busy and overworked room. Ultimately, for a complex bedroom style, why not consider painting a blown-up image of a selected pop culture icon on the wall behind the bed? This not only gives you a chance to showcase your taste, it is also a truly unique DIY headboard which you can show off to your chums and visitors.
Whatever the design you select, this Saturday project simply requires some necessary things : an overhead projector, a picture released on any piece of translucent paper where light can pass through ( the picture must also have a high resolution so the last painting will have sharper details ), and painting implements--enamel, latex paint, charcoal, chalk--the chances are endless!! To proceed, draw a simple design or layout on paper or create one employing a user-friendly design software. Afterward, place the projector in front of the wall where you intend to put the design ( don't be scared to experiment on angles and distance to get the specified size ).

Technology in the Art Classroom?
The art department in my school district is up for text book adoption and the money we are using would be best served to add more technology to our curriculum. Does anyone out there teach art? If so I need some ideas for brands of projectors so that instead of gathering 20+ students around one computer for demonstrations on PhotoShop etc that I can project the demo on a screen for the entire class. Also we are interested in some sort of opaque projector that would allow us to project hand made project demo's onto the screen so all students can better see (i.e. demonstrating shading techniques, How to use a graph, etc). I usually gather them around one work space but it is difficult for all of them to see at once. Any help would be greatly appreciated. With so many kinds of digital projectors and other forms of technology out there it is difficult to know what works best. Any Art Teachers out there with tech in their rooms? What do you suggest/recommend?
smart boards are great, and i have seen something called an elmo which is a like a video camera that points down at the table top and has such good magnification that you can put books under it and read them from the back of the class. imagine being able to demo shading, origami, macrame to the whole class.
btw technology and texbooks probably come from separate budgets, so if you're adopting, look for series that offers the most technology tie-ins/support

Fine Arts Reproduction: Blending Technology To Deliver Excellent Pieces Of Work
In today's scenario, technology is witnessed in every sector and in every work. It not only enhances the value of the work, but also enables the man to swiftly carry out his work. Even your passion can be dragged to a higher level with the help of advanced technology. If you have passion for painting then you can enhance the value of your hobbies to an upscale level. For instance, if painting interests you then you can take the help of the fine arts reproduction. There are usually seven steps involved to or transfer images or paintings into your oil canvas portrait.
1) Staple them up on your tripod as reference: oil reproductions on canvas can be considered to be the best method to preserve one's precious piece of work. For instance, the self portrait of Norman Rockwell can be set up as the best example of the oil canvas portrait. In this painting, Rockwell is seen painting himself at a frame covered with images of portraits by Van Gogh and Rembrandt. The portrait consists of the reflection of Norman. He is seen watching himself in a mirror.
2) Opaque Projector: It is a kind of machine, which is used in the fine arts reproduction in order to project snaps, drawings, book pages etc. by inducing a bright light onto the snaps from above. A series of prisms, mirrors and lenses are used in order to project the picture onto a canvas. The expert artists then draw outer boundaries of the image on the canvas by using the original image as a guide. Such kind of appendix is usually used by the professional online studios in order to deliver you an identical piece of your favorite artist's work.
3) Camera Lucida: It is kind of lens, which is used on a metal arm that clamps on to the painter's art board. It super imposes a picture on the painter's painting surface. One can then see the reference copy on the drawing surface. The outlines of the object can be easily traced.
4) Mirrors: In this method, a person is made to stand outside a window in full sunlight, facing a mirror from behind the window. The person's image is then reflected in the mirror and the image is then projected inside the dark room and is then transferred onto the oil canvas portrait.
Other techniques which are included in the fine arts reproduction are print, camera obscure and tracing. All these methods are used in delivering an appealing work in the form of oil canvas portrait.
