How does one discern the sampling rate of a digital video camera?
I'm looking for a way to increase the audio quality on my video camera. I have a very good digital Stereo Audio recorder that allows adjustable sampling settings. I'd like to have a close, if not identical, rate so it's easy to match the two when editing. There's no mention in the instructions of the sampling rate of the camera. It's a Samsung Memory Camcorder SC-MX20EL. Any suggestions, hints, or insights would be much appreciated.
If you can import a recorded clip from the camera to your computer without modifying it, do this: once the clip is a file on your pc, right-click it and choose properties, and look through all the tabs; you might find the sampling rate listed there. Or you could open the file in the free WavePad software and it should be able to tell you.
