urgent help!! pohotograhy lighting?
i am about to purchase this lighting kit ... LIGHTING Kit 3 Muslin BACKGROUND STUDIO Chromakey Green i was just wondering how the lights work, how would i use my camera with it?? ect do i need leads/cables triggers ect thanks xx

thank you for your help. why would you not go for these? if i wanted to buy the flash lights what would i need camera wise and in general?
I use "Hots" (or continuous) lighting for a lot of studio work. Is this a set I would buy for myself? No, the backdrops & stands will be cheap and flimsy. I might buy it just for the backdrops and scrap the stands and lights (but it would have to come from a trusted seller). The stands probably will not stay at the height you set them and may collapse.
Does the set you link have a complete lighting system? Yes. Does it provide a lot of light? NO. It shows 3- 33 watt CF bulbs, I have 3 65w CFs in one soft box and it puts out about 700 watts of light and it is adequate for up to about 10 feet. Would it be an ok gift for someone just starting photography? Maybe, it depends on who it is for. Better off getting them a gift card to someplace like B&H photo, and let them pick their own gear...kinda like buying a tie for someone else

Is there a specific chromakey color ID?
Me and my friend are making a little project and he has Apple's Final Cut, so we have the ability to use a backdrop for chromakey. We just need the muslin or fabric for the backdrop. Is there a specific color of fabric that I can pick up at Joann's or Michael's? Or a certain code to look for? Or just anything you know that can help me?
Most people use a bright green or bright blue (Chromakey is commonly called "Green Screen" or "Blue Screen"). Two things to keep in mind:
1) Get non-reflective fabric (shiny polyester is right out) to avoid "spill effect".
2) Make sure no one is wearing a similar color to the screen color
Another helpful hint is to make your actor stand at least 4' from the background, this helps to avoid shadows that makes the software have difficulty in doing a solid key.
