"I can create more than one albums?

Yes, you can have multiple albums, each with unlimited photos. You need to use the multi-album feature in Photo DVD Maker as follows:

- In the "Organize Photos" window, click the "New Album" button. There will be a pop-up window you need to enter the album name.

- Select photos and add photos to the selected album.

- Repeat above steps to add more slideshows.

How many photos can be added to the presentations?

Photo DVD Maker uses MPEG encoder. Since the output file is MPEG2 format, the capability depends on the number of photos, interval time between photos and the background music length. The program can calculate the disc space used when photos or background music added to slideshows. There is no limitation with the photo numbers for each slideshow. The only limitation is the disk space DVD-R or DVD-RW. Typically, a 4.7G DVD-R disc can have more than 1,000 photos with background music.

Why there is no transition effects when playing on TV?

Photo DVD Maker Professional version supports DVD, SVCD, VCD 2.0 still picture as the output format. Please select SVCD or DVD as the output disc format if you need the transition effects. If you select the image as output format, there will be no transition effects available. The High resolution still image format makes photos look great on TV (resolution is as high as 704x576). To support such high-quality format image on television with DVD player, the distribution of files on CD is not the same as the normal video CD which can be played like a movie on TV or computer. This is the reason why this output format does not support transition effects.

What is the difference between the trial and version Full German?

The only difference between the trial version and full version is the limitation that you can only record a maximum of 36 photos on each CD or DVD.

Why my VCD or DVD Player does not recongnize the burned CD or DVD?

The reason why some burned CD or DVD discs can not be played on your player DVD / VCD is due to the "reading" of its ability to DVD / VCD. Please make sure your DVD / VCD compatible with VCD 2.0 format, SVCD format. Even so, according to our tests, some models of DVD / VCD (usually older models) are not compatible with some brand names particular burned CD-R/RW or DVD-R/RW (worse for DVD + R / RW). If this is your case, please use another brand name of blank CD-R or DVD-R with the lowest write speed to prove it.

When I play the burned CD, what should I do if I am required to activate the "PBC"?

"PBC" means "Control of reproduction." Is a function for VCD 2.0 format to support playback of the disc menu. Please do not press any other button before pressing the "Play". Otherwise, the main disc menu can not be presented. Sometimes, after you insert the burned disc in the player DVD, see the blue screen on TV. If this is your case, you should click the "Play" button before you press any digital button (1, 2, 3 ..) on the remote control of your DVD player to play the corresponding slide shows.

Why is the size of my photos is only the fourth of the screen on TV?

When the photo is only a quarter of the screen on TV, you should be seeing the disc menu. Every disc menu selects the first photo slide show of photos that you have prepared in the first step. When you see the main disc menu, please remember to press the digital button (1, 2, 3, ..) on the remote control of your DVD player to play the corresponding slide shows.

Video CD or VCD, is a format digital film. It's basically a primitive version of DVD. A video CD is a kind of CD. It looks just like a music CD or a CD-ROM, except that instead of music or software that has movies, using compressed MPEG-1 video. Its resolution is 352x240 (NTSC) or 352x288 (PAL), which is comparable to VHS. VCD uses an MPEG-1 encoding standard to store video and audio. A VCD can be played on most DVD players and all computers with a DVD-ROM or CD-ROM with the help of a VCD decoder software. VCD 2.0 was introduced in 1995 and adds hi-res photos, fast forward and rewind functions to the original specifications; SuperVCD (SVCD) uses either high bit rate MPEG-1 or variable bit rate MPEG-2 for the use of CD-R instead of DVD drives.

The resolution is limited to VCD 352x240 (NTSC), 352x288 (PAL) or SVCD 480x480 (NTSC), 480x576 (PA) L which may appear grainy or low resolution compared to the original images. Another way is to author a photo VCD 2.0 disc encoding each picture as a still image in MPEG 704x480 (NTSC) 704x576 (PAL). This allows better resolution but (probably) lacks transition effects. The resulting collection of still images can be created MPEG with a program that automates the entire process from disk images.
