(pic) how to remove "camry" from the back panel reflector/lights?
i was thinking to remove the brand badges from the car, but with the word "camry" there it would kind of defeat the purpose.. heres a link to a picture:
im pretty sure its removable.. looks like it goes relfectors/lights, letters, then plastic over. (layers from innermost to outermost)
its a 1994 camry

(to answer #4) yea i thought something like that.. i tried to get the over plastic off but couldnt. then i DID take out some screws and things but then i didnt have a deep socket to get the rest so before i went to get one i wanted to make sure i was doing it right.. and thus i turned to yahoo answers
ok to the first 2 posters:
- it wouldn't "kill" the re-sale value, thats an old camry so it wouldn't de-value it any, even a new car you can remove all the emblems and it wouldn't kill the resale value, if you wanted to resale and was that worried about it just buy new emblems and put them on or put the old ones back on, they're just held on by glue and adhesive, its not like heavily modifying the car
- why would removing that be illegal? people remove emblems on their cars all the time, its not legal, if you think that could be illegal then people getting over done body kits should as hell be illegal, also what about when people remove an emblem from the grille, thats not illegal, also i have a 98 chevy silverado truck and they actually have a cadillac escalade conversion kit, basically turning the whole front end to an escalade, everything in front of the doors (fenders, hood, grille, headlights, all that) so if thats not illegal then just removing "camry" sure as hell wouldn't be
but to answer your question, not sure how they're removed or what you could to, what you could do is call a toyota dealer or go to one and ask if anybody knows how to, or could find forums on toyotas, toyota camry's and ask on there, hell could even go to cardomain.com and search around on there, if you find someone that did that you can send them a private message asking, but you'd have to make an account on there which is free
